After doodling little cartoons for friends and colleagues for years, Carmen has had some fun creating banners, logos, custom art, and has written/illustrated a few picture books for kids.

An old-school felt-tip pen is usually the main tool. Then acrylic paint or pencil crayons right on the page, or a scan into her iPad or computer for the colour.

She's also an actress, a puppeteer, does comedy improv with Canadian Improv Showcase, and travels to schools with her sword to enhance the grade 4 Ancient Societies curriculum with Knights in the Classroom.
